Duo Course – Learn to Teach 3D Modelling with Tinkercad – Year 5 and 6 – Sandcastles

● To learn the basic skills to get started with Tinkercad
● Log in to Tinkercad – online 3D CAD program
● Understand the tools available to create 3D models
● Raise awareness of the different file types in 3D modelling
● Understand how 3D printers work

Expected impact on schools – Participants will:
● Have access to useful online resources to support the coding and computing curriculum
● Be able to deliver 3D modelling and design lessons with your class
● Develop ideas for using in teaching and learning
Who is this course for?
Year 5/6 teachers who are delivering a 3D modelling unit as part of the computing curriculum, especially those delivery the teach computing unit: Y6 Teach Computing – 3D Modelling Unit
Charge:
This course is part of the CPD programme for schools in the ICT in Schools Service Offer and is free of charge to those schools. For all other schools, the charge is £40.00 + VAT.
SPECIAL OFFER
After attending a DUO course each school/attendee will be eligible for a reduced cost half day, taught session using Tinkercad either at The Word or in school.
The session will use 30 points of your allocation instead of 60.
Staff can only attend the Duo Course once to benefit from the reduced points charge.
