Google Earth always amazed me with historic photos, you could track the development of an area of time. I loved that feature. Unfortunately this was moved to the pro version a few years ago, which meant it was no longer a free feature of Google Earth. However, I have just come across a great collection of aerial historic photos on the Historic England site, taken over the last 100 years, they form an fascinating glimpse of the UK.
